4 Tracked ticket statuses, start to close

Support That Lives Inside BeeNet, Not a Separate Inbox

When something breaks or you need help, you file a ticket from your admin portal and track it through a real status lifecycle — Open, In Progress, Resolved, Closed — in a comment thread with the platform team. No forwarded emails, no separate helpdesk login.

What Makes This Different

Four specific, checkable mechanisms — not adjectives.

Assignment Moves the Ticket Automatically

The moment a staff member is assigned to your ticket, its status flips from Open to In Progress on its own — you can see someone picked it up without needing a status update comment.

Internal Notes Stay Internal

Platform staff can discuss your ticket privately using internal comments before replying — you only ever see the public comments in your thread, never the internal back-and-forth.

A Guarded Lifecycle, Not a Free-For-All Status Field

Tickets move through Open, In Progress, Resolved, and Closed on defined paths, including specific reopen routes — status can't be jumped or skipped arbitrarily.

Priority and Category, Set at Filing

Every ticket carries a priority level and a category (billing, technical, general, and others) from the moment it's created, so staff triage by urgency and topic, not by reading order.

What the Support Tickets Module Actually Does

A dedicated in-app helpdesk for org admins — file, track, and discuss a ticket without leaving the portal.

Dedicated Ticket List and Detail View

The /support screen in the org-admin portal lists every ticket you've filed, with a detail view showing the full comment thread for each one.

File a Ticket in a Modal, No Page Reload

A create-ticket modal captures the category, priority, and description without navigating away from your ticket list.

Comment on Your Own Ticket

Add follow-up comments to an open ticket to give staff more context or answer a question — your comments post as public, visible to the team handling your case.

Resolution Timestamps on Every Ticket

A resolved ticket records exactly when it was resolved and, separately, when it was closed — so you have a timestamped record, not just a status label.

Status Changes and Assignment Are Platform-Side

Assigning a ticket to staff and moving it through the lifecycle is handled by the platform team, not by org admins — your role is filing, reading, and commenting on the thread.

Platform-Wide View for Our Team

Behind the scenes, platform staff work from a system-admin ticket management screen covering every organisation's tickets, so nothing routes through a shared inbox.

How It Works

1

File a ticket from /support

An org admin opens the create-ticket modal, sets a category and priority, and describes the issue — no separate login or email needed.

2

A staff member is assigned

The platform team assigns the ticket, which automatically moves it from Open to In Progress so you can see it's being worked.

3

You talk it through in the thread

Staff reply with public comments; you can add your own. Any internal staff discussion stays out of your view entirely.

4

The ticket resolves and closes

Once fixed, the ticket moves to Resolved with a timestamp, then Closed — with defined paths to reopen it if the issue comes back.

Why It Matters for a School

1 thread
Per issue, not a scattered email chain

Every reply, question, and resolution for one problem lives in a single ticket you can reopen and reread later.

4 statuses
Open, In Progress, Resolved, Closed

A guarded lifecycle with defined reopen paths, so you always know exactly where a ticket stands.

Public only
What you see in the comment thread

Internal staff notes never appear in your view — you only see the comments meant for you.

Common Questions

Can I file a support ticket from the mobile app?

Not yet. Support ticket filing and tracking currently exist only in the org-admin web portal at /support — there is no ticket-related screen in the BeeNet mobile app. If you need to reach us while away from a computer, use the web portal from a mobile browser.

Can I assign a ticket to a specific staff member myself?

No — assignment and status transitions are handled by the platform team, not by org admins. Your side of the ticket is filing it, reading the thread, and adding comments; once staff assign someone, the ticket automatically moves to In Progress.

Do I get a guaranteed response time or SLA on my ticket?

There's no automated SLA timer or deadline tracking. What you do get is a priority level set at filing and timestamped status changes, so you and our team both have a clear record of urgency and progress — just not a countdown clock.

Will I see everything the support team discusses about my ticket?

You'll see every public comment in your thread. You won't see internal comments — staff use those to coordinate privately before replying to you, which is by design, not a bug.

Can a closed ticket be reopened if the issue comes back?

Yes. The status lifecycle includes defined reopen paths, so a recurring issue doesn't have to start over as a brand-new ticket.

How do I categorize a ticket when I file it?

You set a category — billing, technical, general, and others — along with a priority level in the create-ticket modal. That combination is what staff use to triage your ticket.
